DATA VISUALISATION

Soil Moisture

Soil moisture, the amount of water held in the ground, is crucial for understanding Earth’s water cycle and vital for plant growth. Tracking this data is important for a variety of fields. Luckily, there are several ways to monitor soil moisture. Ground-based sensors can be placed directly in the soil, while satellites use microwave technology to measure moisture content from space. This remotely sensed information, often presented as a Soil Wetness Index, provides valuable data for researchers and land managers.

By tracking soil moisture data over time, we can identify areas prone to drought or flooding, optimize irrigation practices in agriculture, and even predict crop yields. This information empowers us to make informed decisions about water conservation and land management on both local and global scales.

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)

Maintaining good indoor air quality (IAQ) is essential for our health and well-being. Since we spend up to 90% of our time indoors, breathing clean air is vital for our health and productivity. Poor IAQ has been linked to respiratory problems, headaches, and even cognitive decline. However, pinpointing problems can be tricky. Here’s where occupant surveys come in.

Recognizing the importance Novel Aquatech developed an IOT based system that monitors Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ), Occupants’ perception of the IEQ by a set of survey questions and present data analytics  that help the building owner to improve well-being and productivity of the occupants.

Air Quality data is collected from a set of IOT enabled sensors deployed in the building.

Occupants are asked a set of questions about the IEQ. These questions are downloaed on  hand-held devices by scanning a QR code. The responses are recorded in the cloud for subsequent analysis.
